Abstract

Consciousness models proposed by Hameroff and Penrose, Henry Stapp and Charles Berner and Percinkova belong to different philosophical directions and for that reason, their comparison is attractive and proposed in this paper. A qualitative research methodology is used to separate the theories, make analysis and define the similarities. Regarding the methodology how to define matter and consciousness in the models, a brief explanation for all three theories is given. It is followed by separation of similar elements in their models and the most important are free will, subjective flow of time and subjective experience or "inner life". This paper belongs to the realm of artificial intelligence that deals with activities of the mind and can give a contribution for modeling the consciousness as nature phenomena connected with material world.
