Preface

The ICT Innovations conference is a framework where academics, professionals, and practitioners interact and share their latest results and interests related to basic and applied research in ICT. The organizer of the conference is the Association for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT-ACT) that serve its mission to support the development of information and communication technologies in Macedonia, the Balkan region and beyond, especially in the area of research and application of innovative technologies.

The 6th ICT Innovations 2014 conference gathered 244 authors from 26 countries reporting their scientific work and novel solutions in data processing. Only 32 papers were selected for publication in Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, Volume 311 by Springer. Additional 32 short papers were selected for presentation on the conference and for publication in the conference Web proceedings. Twelve submissions presenting preliminary research results and work in progress were also accepted as poster presentations. Three workshops were organized as part of the ICT Innovations 2014 conference activities: MLLS - Machine Learning in Life Sciences, FUPOL - ICT Tools for Future Policy Modelling and MAESTRA - Learning from Massive, Incompletely Annotated, and Structured Data.

ICT Innovations 2014 was held in Ohrid, at the Faculty of tourism and hospitality, in the period September 9-12, 2014. The special conference topic was World of Data. The conference also focused on variety of ICT fields: Quality of Experience in Education, Language Processing, Semantic Web, Open Data, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, E-Government, Bioinformatics, High Performance Computing, Software Engineering and Theory, Security and Computer Networks.

We would like to express sincere gratitude to the authors for submitting their works to this conference and to the reviewers for sharing their experience in the selection process. Special thanks to Monika Simjanoska, Tomce Delev and Emil Stankov for their technical support in the preparation of the conference proceedings.
