Abstract

Context-aware computing is a mobile computing paradigm in which applications can discover and take advantage of contextual information. Context-aware applications offer a new opportunity for application developers to develop and adapt systems behavior depending on context information. In this paper we will present a short overview of different types of context modeling approaches and its characteristics. Based on these modeling approaches we present various existing context-aware frameworks that are used for developing context-aware applications.
