Abstract

An application of genetic algorithms to a simple problem of solving a system of differential equations in complex plane is presented. The candidate, complex-valued solutions of the quantum two-state model in case are expressed as partial sums of Fourier series obeying an initial as well as a physically relevant condition of preserving the sum of their norms. For speeding up the convergence we explore the effect of introducing a stochastic weighting of the various parts of total fitness function.
